Aura Candle — Candle Wick Sizes and Burn Times | auracandle.net
The specification table read column by column: code, core, application by container diameter, burn rate in grams per hour and yield in yards per pound.
Every figure below is transcribed from a single manufacturer specification page fetched on 2026-10-25. The code column, the application column, the rate column and the yield column all come from that page.
The paper-cored container range runs 3.2 g/hr for W-60-P and W-22A-P in tea-lights and small votives, 3.4 g/hr for W-62-P, 3.5 g/hr for W-61-P in small containers, 3.6 g/hr for W-63-P in extra small containers under 1 inch, and 4.6 g/hr for W-66-P in medium 1–2 inch containers.
The pillar range runs 3.9 g/hr for W-1 in tea-lights, 5.1 g/hr for the 15-ply W-2 in 1–2.5 inch pillars and tapers, 6.2 g/hr for the 24-ply W-4 in 2–3 inch pillars, and 7.8 g/hr for the 45-ply W-7 in 3–4 inch pillars. The rate rises with the melt pool the wick has to feed.
On narrow screens, swipe or scroll the plate sideways.
The LX cotton series states that its treatment is designed to reduce after glow, smoke and coking, and that a self-trimming wick position minimises or eliminates blooming. LX-8 lists 4.6 g/hr for small 1–2 inch pillars and LX-20 lists 7.3 g/hr for medium 2–3 inch pillars.
RRD codes are cotton cored with tension threads carrying a sodium-based NST treatment stated to let the wick burn properly in vegetable based waxes. RRD-29NST2 maps to votives and small 1–2 inch containers with a yield of 548 yards per pound, RRD-37NST2 to medium 2–3 inch containers at 435, and RRD-50NST2 to large 3–4 inch containers at 323.
Zinc cored wicks burn the coolest of the cored wicks and offer the most rigidity, but they are not recommended for natural or renewable waxes. Hemp codes cover HE-2 for votives and small 1–2 inch containers and HE-6 for large 4 inch containers, and the ECO flat braid covers ECO-2, ECO-6 for 2–2.75 inch and ECO-14 for 3–3.5 inch containers.
